Suzuki GN125
Easy to ride and cheap to own and run, Suzuki's GN series of machines have long been a popular choice for first time riders and commuters alike. The little GN125 features a single cylinder SOHC engine, and whilst the technology is old school, it has won many friends over the years for its decent economy and reliability and for the fact that despite its small size, it remains a pleasant machine to ride. The GZ125 is essentially the same machine but with custom styling and might appeal to those riders to whom style is equally important to function.

As with all learner legal bikes, make sure that you inspect your prospective purchase carefully. With only slightly in excess of 10bhp on tap, the GN125 engine isn't highly stressed, but many will have been owned by learner riders so may had a hard life despite showing low mileage. Particularly with the custom versions such as the GZ125 Marauder, watch out for rust on the chrome work.
